Cobian Backup 11 (Gravity) • FTP with TLS appears broken?

I'm trying to use the FTP function of Cobian to transfer files to my server as a backup.

Problem is, no matter how i try to setup the TLS under SSL, i keep getting the error
that the remote server doesn't support SSL, but it requires TLS explicitly in order
to allow a connection. Using FileZilla with explicit TLS works fine to the same server
with the same credentials etc.

anybody else have this problem? or know of a solution?
