I'm liking doing full backups uncompressed so I can use the crc check. However, I've encountered the situation where a 40k file backup of 130GB of data has finished, and there's one or two files that failed the check. The only way I can see to have a 100% verified backup is to completely rerun it.
So far, the second attempt has always finished w/ no errors.
What would you think of adding a retry option to the crc feature? If crc is selelcted, then have a checkbox option "Retry files that fail crc check", followed by a count setting, something like 1-5 or 1-10. That way, during the backup, if a file copy fails the crc check, it gets more chances to succeed. And these retries could be logged for anyone who wants to review that detail.
Thanks.
