System is Windows 10 Pro. Intel i5 processor with 8GB of RAM. 900 GB SSD. 4TB USB 3.0 Transcend Storeject external drive is backup destination. Using a 2.5Gbit Qnap ethernet card. 2.5Gbit Trendnet switch
Every time I try to backup a directory, here is the error I get.
2022-03-03 21:01:02 Backing up the task "X-Drive-BKUP"
2022-03-03 21:01:02 Applying the parameters to the task "X-Drive-BKUP" (if any).
2022-03-03 21:01:02 Requesting the creation of a Volume Shadow Copy image for the source...
2022-03-03 21:01:07 The Volume Shadow Copy image has been successfully created.
2022-03-03 21:01:07 Starting the copy. The user running the task is: SYSTEM
ERR 2022-03-03 21:01:07 Cannot backup the directory "\\buffalo-nas\drive-x\Customers M - Z": Directory not found.
2022-03-03 21:01:08 * Backup part for the task "X-Drive-BKUP" has ended *
2022-03-03 21:01:08 * Number of backed up files: 0. Backup part size: 0 bytes. *
The directory is on a NAS. The drive letter is mapped. EnableLinkedConnections registry entry is enabled.
As you can see, the directory name has spaces.
The directory can be opened and read from the desktop. Files can be opened, edited and saved. The drive letter cannot be put in the files selection list. It only accepts UNC. The size of the diectory is more than 3 TB.
There are multiple directories in the same shared drive mapping. NONE will backup.
If I cannot get this to work, I will have to fall back on RoboCopy. I was hoping Cobian Reflector would work.
Thanks
Jim H
