Cobian Reflector • exclude a certain directory name from a task

I would like to always exclude a certain directory name from a task, no matter in which path. All content within and below this directory name should always be excluded from a task.
For example, I tried this filter:
*\.metadata\*\*
But that doesn't help. Does anyone have another idea?
